Back the RATM Campaign for Xmas #1

Rage Against The Machine for Xmas #1

If you didn’t already know, Rage Against The Machine are in the Christmas Number One Single race thanks to fans of the band who are tired of X-Factor dominating the singles chart.

And so the chorus of RATM song ‘Killing in the Name’ “fuck you I won’t do what you tell me” fits perfectly as a middle finger aimed at Reality Television, Simon Cowell and shitty singer competitions.

The band along with Dave Grohl have backed the fan-led campaign to get RATM number one, and they currently have that number one spot in the mid-week singles race, but the message needs to be spread that if you don’t like X-Factor or shows of that nature, then you need to voice your opinion by downloading “Killing in the Name” by Rage Against The Machine.

RATM Guitarist Tom Morello has said proceeds will be donated to charity, while the fan-led campaign has already raised over £20,000 on their facebook page for ‘Shelter’ who deal with homeless people in the UK. So if you think it’s a “mindlessly stupid campaign” then you are sadly mistaken.

Plus how awesome could a Rage Christmas number one be for the Music Industry? It would be revolutionary.
